Education

St. Louis Priory School: I graduate Priory in May 2017. Washington University: I will start at Washu, studying linguistics and math, in Sept. 2017. Despite my youth and minimal education, I have significant experience tutoring High School students, with very high success. The students I have tutored at Priory have excelled greatly and learned a new appreciation for the subjects they have sought help in.

Experience

At Priory I have tutored many students over the years. On top of that, I also have tutored girls at Villa and Viz. I know I am just a high school graduate, but I would like to be a professor after I complete my education and teaching is one of my greatest passions. Despite my youth, I consider myself to be highly qualified. In math, I have excelled throughout high school and have taken to math APs, Stats and BC calc. I got an a+ in both courses at school, and I received a 5 on the BC calc AP. I can tutor in all forms of math below BC calc and I can tutor in Stats. In regards to foreign language, teaching and learning is my life passion. I am fluent in Spanish at native proficiency and I am fluent in French. I also speak Portuguese and Italian at high proficiency, I have not, however, had the opportunity to practice those languages as much as the other two. Finally, at priory we are required to take Latin. I have taken the Latin AP and got a 5 and I have read the Aeneid in Latin and I have read The Odyssey in Greek as well as St. John's Gospel in Greek.

Hobbies

I love studying foreign language. In addition to the languages above, I am teaching myself Arabic, Hebrew, Modern Greek, Hungarian, Turkish, Pashto, Farsi, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Korean, Hindi, and Romanian. I intend to study Linguistics at WashU and my life goal is to make a foreign language teaching reform in the USA. I believe in a hands on, practical, immersive experience for learning a foreign language and data shows that is the best way to learn and teach foreign language. As well as language, math is a passion of mine. I am currently working on solving an integral for the normal curve distribution, something that currently has not been solved. Other than these academic interests, I love reading, running, and martial arts. I love running and enjoying nature as I run. I am a black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do and take my training very seriously. Finally, reading and stretching my thinking abilities are two of my favorite things. Finally, in regards to my personality. I love seeing movies, playing with my little sisters, and enjoying new experiences, cultures, and foods.
