Experience

I am a retired teacher from Special School District. I taught for 35 years in the special education setting with the first 6 years being for the Archdiocese of St. Louis in their special education setting. I have tutored for students in the past and have loved it. As those students got older, I passed them on to tutors specializing in older students. I still communicate with the families to see how former students are doing.

Hobbies

Family is my first passion. I received the greatest gift of my life this year which is my grandson. He is 5 weeks old. I have helped my sister babysit her grand kids before that and have found that I really love being around children. They bring out the best in me. I knew that from teaching, but it was cemented for me this year, my first year of retirement. I love to read. Sitting on my patio on a beautiful day with a good book and my dog is my idea of a perfect day. I love a good story. I also love dogs and do dog-sitting for my friends. Kids have always been my passion. I love when they have those "light bulb moments". To see a child's eyes light up when everything just "clicks" is priceless. Knowing that I had a small part in that is the best gift of all.
