EducationWashington University In Saint Louis - BA, Biochemistry and History
ExperienceI've been working as a tutor for a long time, having worked with students while I was a high school student and in undergrad. I began my tutoring career in my third year of high school. I helped young students enrolled in fourth and fifth grade with their studies in Reading and Mathematics. When I was enrolled at Washington University in St. Louis, I worked with peers in my department having difficulty in General Chemistry. I've done this for close to three years. Also, a lot of the community service I've done has been connected to teaching. I volunteered with Books and Basketball, a program that allowed me to help underprivileged youth with their Reading and Mathematics, as well as play basketball. My diverse experiences with tutoring have allowed me to overcome challenges as an educator and come up with the best, most useful teaching strategies. I've definitely learned a lot and have honed my skills as a teacher as a result of the work I've done. I'm able to work with students in Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Statistics, Trigonometry, Biology, and Chemistry, both in introductory and advanced coursework. I can also help students prepare for tests, including the ACT (English, Math, Reading, Science, and Writing) and the MCAT (Physical Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Verbal Reasoning). I enjoy basketball, medicine, and working out.
