Private tutor in St. Louis, MO
Education
I'm an incoming junior at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), majoring in Psychology and Business. I've taken courses in math (up to Calc III), Spanish (up to the 300 level and I will be studying abroad), writing (general essay writing), and a variety of Psychology courses. I made the dean's list, and I received an ACT score of 31.
Experience
I've been tutoring since I was a junior in high school. In high school, I tutored children through the Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center, a local non-profit that provides tutoring to underprivileged students in a variety of elementary subjects. I also tutored my fellow high school students in Precalculus Honors through National Honors Society. At WashU I tutored students through an organization called EachOneTeachOne, where I was a tutor in reading and writing, as well as some math. Finally, I have a career as a PLTL leader (Peer-led Team-Learning) leader. In this career, I tutor a group of calculus students for two hours once a week, fostering collaboration and groupwork. I want to be a tutor to continue these amazing experiences and help kids grow and learn, the same way tutors helped me succeed in math when I was younger. See above for all the experience in relevant courses I have taken.
