Hello, my name is Awa and I hail from Senegal. French is my native language and I speak English and Wolof fluently. I have traveled to many different parts of the world, from Ochanomizu University of Tokyo, Japan, to the Living Values Education Center in Oxford, England. At both these places I underwent educational training, then after completing my training, I trained educators in Africa's Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali, Togo, and my homeland of Senegal. I also spent two years in Missouri facilitating home-based childcare at the International Institute. I excel at teaching French because I taught students and trained teachers in it, and I also founded a French elementary school in my home country. I feel the school serves as a much needed initiative because I believe that education provides the key to success for many.A core principle guides me in the classroom, and it is that I must explain lessons based on a student's surroundings and requirements utilizing correct, precise tools that match their learning needs. This effort results in a functional understanding of the subject rather than one that simply allows for filling out the right answer on a test.
