Experience
I currently reside in the St Louis, MO, area, and I earned my bachelor's degree in middle school education from Saint Louis University, Main Campus. I also have several years of teaching experience and have been involved in training to discover and adapt to a student's individual learning style and needs. Each student has their own unique style of absorbing and processing new material, and this training allows me the ability to develop tailored lesson plans based on proficiency levels and general knowledge of a course subject the student has, as well as any learning barriers we may have to face. I teach children grades 1 through 8 in social studies, American history, European history, Spanish 1, and geography. I also offer homework support. I am most enthusiastic about teaching history and social studies; I have such a fondness for these subjects that I just want to share all of the knowledge I have obtained. History is such an exciting field! I also like to design things, and I frequently use artistic projects to help with reinforcement of course material. In my free time, I enjoy watching period films, Irish dancing, and studying genealogy. I would be honored to have the privilege of assisting your child with his or her educational needs!
