I earned my bachelor's degree in journalism and political science from the University of Iowa. After graduation, I spent two years teaching elementary school through the Teach for America program. During that time, I enrolled at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and completed a master's degree in education. At the present time, I am fusing my love of education with my public relations talents by working for a STEM nonprofit. My favorite part of teaching was working one on one with children and helping them thrive. I believe that teaching children to think critically is the most important part of education. While I have an affinity for English and reading, I am also able to tutor students in math and science. I am qualified to teach writing, literature, history, comparative government and politics, and social studies as well. In my spare time, I enjoy exercising, reading the news, watching football, writing, and photography.
