Mike D.
Private tutor in St. Louis, MO
Education
I have attended Lindenwood University & Sanford-Brown College. I graduated number one from SB in 2011 with a BS in Healthcare Administration while carrying a 4.0. I also earned a certificate of outstanding achievement at graduation.
Experience
There is a value to STEM education & understanding. I think many times, throughout a student's academic career, there is a lack of encouragement for pursuit of science & math. And, we discourage students from taking tougher classes or choosing harder college majors simply by virtue of their difficulty. I believe that it is important to foster an understanding of the value of science & math in our citizens. Ultimately, a student's choice to study business instead of chemistry should be more about desire & less about fear of the challenge.

I enjoy doing math problems online through Khan Academy in my spare time. I think we foster an attitude of enjoyment for math & overcome math anxiety. I also enjoy going to the gym & spending time with my son.
