Education
Master's in Education and Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science from Truman State University I completed my internship at both a local private elementary school where I taught physical education and health to kindergarten to 5th grade students and then at the local middle school teaching PE and health to 6th to 8th grade girls. Throughout college, I participated in a Homeschool Fridays where we met with local homeschooled students to teach them about different activities and games.
Experience
I went to school to become a teacher because I love seeing kids acheive. While I'm job searching, I substitute teach in districts around my hometown. I've found that as a sub I am able to work with individual students in all subject areas and that gives me some practice as a tutor. Truman is a liberal arts university, so I have been able to take classes in many subjects to attain my degrees. I love that while going through college I was able to take music and art classes, as well as higher level math and science classes outside of my degree courses.
