Hobbies

One of my greatest hobbies is woodworking. I see it in many ways as similar to working on history or writing actually. You must formulate a concept, work out a plan, and modify it as things are learned in order to create the vision in mind. I have a great passion for the U.S. Civil War, the Renaissance, Europe just before World War I, and a steadily growing interest in the beginnings of the United States. My love of history comes from a fascination with humanity, with human desire and development and ingenuity. I marvel at things like flight and bridges as much because they were created by humans as for their being there. I am obsessed with film, especially old movies. I am also into cycling and soccer. I love basketball. I have a big interest in reading. I am currently working on earning my teaching certificate.
