Experience
After graduation, I backpacked through Europe and explored my interests in organic farming and alternative living. In the process, I was referred to an internship program at an international boarding high school called Brockwood Park School located in Hampshire, UK. I spent the 2013-2014 school year in England teaching a textiles course and exploring philosophy with my fellow staff members. The infamously gray English weather brought me back to my home state of California in September where I volunteered as an ESL tutor at my local library. I had acquired three years of tutoring experience during high school and college, and then expanded upon this experience during my year teaching in England. Thus, the ESL volunteer position was a natural continuation of the skill set upon which I had already been building. Through my work as a tutor, I have discovered that I have a genuine love for the elegance of knowledge and of mathematics in particular. However, I understand that not everyone feels this way, and my goal as a tutor is to help each student relate to the material in an easy and natural manner that takes into account the student's personal goals and interests.

I came to Saint Louis in February for an internship in well-being and I am enjoying it so much that I have decided to stay for graduate school! In my spare time I enjoy exploring skills and interests of all kinds which currently include cooking, gardening, fitness, academics, philosophy, and well-being.
