Education

I graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia with a 3.93 GPA. I have earned the following degrees: Bachelors in Secondary English Education from the University of Missouri, Columbia Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri, Columbia Hands on training in ESL/ELL while teaching in Japan.

Experience

I have nearly 10 years of experience with teaching and tutoring: I have tutored from kindergarten to adult age groups, but I prefer tutoring upper level Language Arts students. I have taught 10th grade and 8th grade Language Arts in the US. The past four years I have been teaching English as a foreign language in Japan ranging from kindergarten to 7th grade. On the side, I especially enjoy helping students revise and edit compositions.

Hobbies

I have a variety of hobbies and interests. As a native to St. Louis, I love visiting places around town. Some of my favorites are Forest Park, the Loop, the zoo, Grant's Farm, the Science Center, Sculpture Park, etc. I am also an avid music fan and concert-goer. I read voraciously, and I love to write in my free time, from blogging to poetry to stories. I am also involved in my church ministry, and hope to become active in church work.
