Having recently started the French Graduate Program at Saint Louis University, I previously earned my B.A. at the same institution in French and Cultural Anthropology.As part of the requirements for my undergraduate degree, I spent a year in France, and it was shortly after this study period in France that I developed a desire to keep on learning French -- both the language and the culture.While living and studying overseas, I devoted a lot of my time to helping people from all age groups who wanted to learn French. After going back to the United States, I kept on tutoring in some capacity or other.My focus as a tutor is on English speakers who want to learn French. My approach is to communicate the importance of ongoing learning for students who want to attain, maintain, and improve their French language competency, and I seek to instill in them a desire to stick with it by ensuring that my tutoring sessions are fun, insightful, and interactive.When not studying or tutoring, I find enjoyment in hiking, rock climbing, and camping. Leaving the city and going to more secluded places for such activities helps me to clear my head, de-stress, and refresh academically and socially.
