I'm Josiah, a tutor and graduate of the University of South Carolina and University of Missouri-St. Louis. I have two bachelor's degrees: one in English, and the other in Special Education.I have experience working with students of many ages since I used to be an ABA therapist and teacher's aide. The students I mentored ranged from grammar school kids to those who just completed high school.The subjects I teach include English, Essay Editing, 9th-12th Grade Writing, College Essays, Expository Writing, Phonics, Creative Writing, Persuasive Writing, ACT Test Prep, Literature, and Special Education.I highly believe that each and every person has the ability to learn something. I help my students by finding what their personal learning styles are, and then teaching a subject in a way that meets that specific style. I'm a big advocate of learning, and pass on my love of learning to my students. If they see that I love to obtain knowledge, they will be excited about education too. Being excited about learning lays out a path to academic achievement in school and in life.My hobbies include reading, writing, exercising, and composing and playing my own music. I live in Saint Louis, Missouri.
