Experience
I graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, where I earned my BS in Biology, and my BA in Chemistry, with a minor in Cognitive Science. Now I'm studying for my Ph.D. in Biology at Washington University in St. Louis. I have had the opportunity to tutor students in an individual setting in Spanish, and in a group setting in cognitive science. I also worked with students on test preparation and led a discussion group. My expertise lies in the sciences, specifically chemistry and biology, and I'm also very effective at helping students prepare for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, GRE, and others. While tutoring a specific subject, I always work on study skills, and these skills will benefit my students for life. I have a particular passion for biology, and am amazed at the life that is all around us. I connect with the students I tutor by getting to know my students, their strengths, and what they want to improve in. With that beginning in mind, we can move on and do incredible work. I encourage perseverance in my students. Outside of academia, I enjoy running, biking, and gardening.
