Experience

I recently graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and minors in Spanish and Architecture. Throughout college I worked as Co-President of my university’s student group, City Faces, an after-school tutoring and mentoring program for youth in Clinton Peabody Public Housing where I developed curriculum and helped to oversee operations. I also regularly tutor students within my community in a variety of subjects ranging from math to Spanish to reading and writing. In the spring of 2014, I studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina where, among honing my Spanish and conducting research, I continued to work with and tutor a variety of youth. I believe that education and catering education to the unique needs of individual students is imperative. I find it so rewarding to partner with students not only to clarify tricky concepts, but to jointly develop skills and tools which can help them achieve long term success. Outside of academia, I am interested in theater, having acted, stage managed, and sung extensively though out my high school and college careers. I also enjoy going for runs and playing soccer.
