Experience
I am a graduate of Valparaiso University where I received my BS in Social Work and I earned an additional Spanish major. I moved to Saint Louis to join Teach for America, and taught students Spanish on the K-8 levels. After that I taught third and fourth graders in all their subjects and I taught math to fifth to seventh graders. I also served as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction in my school. I got my master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri at Saint Louis. I am most at home teaching middle school mathematics since that is the subject I have taught recently. I believe in teaching my pupils study skills and organization because they have a major impact on success in learning.I am qualified to teach math at all levels from elementary math up through algebra 2, including geometry. I also tutor Spanish, reading, and writing. I also have the ability to help students prepare for standardized tests, such as the ISEE, PSAT, HSPT, SSAT, and ACT.In my free time, I like to play with my dogs, run, travel, listen to music, and spend time with friends and family.
