Experience

Writing is both an art and a science. Too often, students view composing an essay or paper as an overwhelming task. In a world saturated with text messages and internet dependency, crafting a clear, concise, original thought is a dying skill. I tutor because I want to help students develop their potential and inner voice; the ability to effectively communicate builds confidence in students that manifests itself far beyond writing assignments. I have served as a contributing author, copyeditor, writer and proofreader for various organizations since 1998. Over the past 14 years, I have volunteered for Career Preparation Workshops and advised young people on an individual basis, providing sound advice to students regarding their career choices. I place great emphasis on the importance of personal planning, accountability, wise decision-making and communication skills when counseling others about their life plans.
