Experience
I have great experience tutoring in the subjects of science and mathematics. I have worked with students in group settings and in one on one settings. I also gained experience working with students who have developmental disabilities while at AmeriCorps. My prior experience includes group setting work with two very well known clubs called Friends of Washington Park and Gene Slay's Boys' Club. While working for these two clubs, I began to have a passion for helping others gain the confidence they need to excel in their studies. I graduated from the University of Chicago, where I earned my B.A. in Biological Sciences. I also attended St. Louis University where I specialized in endocrinology and earned my B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics. When I am not tutoring or teaching, I can be found at the St. Louis Zoo. There, I volunteer my spare time by working with the animals. I find that this volunteer position allows me to learn even more about science and biology. I also volunteer my time to Cooking Matters. Cooking Matters allows me to connect with others through the passion of cooking and living a healthy and active lifestyle. I also love to read and love spending time with my canine companion.
