Education

Washington University in St Louis - B.S., Mathematics

Experience

I earned my undergraduate degree in Mathematics at Washington University. Since 2012, I have worked at a St. Louis-area shelter, and in a community garden. I also assist with running a neighborhood bicycle repair program. These commitments keep me occupied, but when I do have time on my hands I enjoy reading, traveling, and hiking. I've always enjoyed Math and I really like having the opportunity to help other people get a handle on a subject many initially find difficult. It's especially rewarding when a student begins to share my excitement about Math. One of my strengths as a tutor is my ability to break down problems into manageable pieces, making them less daunting to the student. I have tutored Washington University students in Statistics and Calculus, and am also available for tutoring in lower level Math courses, from elementary school level through many college courses. I also assist students preparing for the ACT, SAT, GRE, and GED.
