Experience
I hold a degree in Classical Civilization and English Literature from Wellesley College. After graduation, I entered a luxury department store's training program. I spent eight years working in dual store manager and merchant roles before returning to college to earn my MBA. I enrolled in an Organizational Behavior program at Ohio State University. At the present time, I'm working on obtaining my doctoral degree at the Olin School of Business at Washington University. Throughout my years as a student and business person, I've tutored and mentored students of diverse ages and walks of life. My teaching philosophy is that the teacher must identify the student's method of processing instruction so that I can truly challenge my students and help them learn. A great student and teacher relationship hinges on mutual trust and great communication skills, plus lot of humor. I teach in a variety of subject areas, including math, writing, literature, business, and finance. I also teach study skills. When I'm not tutoring, my interests include yoga, piano, traveling, reading, and playing with my small dog.
