Experience

My background as an educator includes 14 years as a high school math teacher. I am able to offer instruction in a range of disciplines within the overarching subject area, including algebra, geometry, middle school math, pre-calculus, statistics, trigonometry, finite mathematics, pre-algebra, and advanced-placement statistics.I am a native of St. Louis, Missouri, and my career as a high school math teacher took place in my hometown. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont. In addition to classroom teaching, I enjoy one-on-one interaction with students. Personally, I find it very fulfilling to have the opportunity to help students master the material before them, particularly if they are struggling with one or more concepts. I consider myself a very patient, laid-back, and approachable person.Alongside teaching, I have also coached volleyball and have taken my students outdoors whenever possible. My personal interests include sports, reading, and the outdoors.
