Experience
I am a sixth-grade English reading and writing teacher. I earned my degree at Washington University, and have been teaching for two years. My own educational experience prepared me to support students in all types of learning situations, and I enjoy being able to use my skills to benefit others. I really enjoy the one-on-one aspect of tutoring--it is quite a change from teaching hundreds of students, and I especially like being able to develop a unique learning plan for each of my tutees. I think it's important to work study skills and organization concepts into every session, as having solid skills in these areas will assist students throughout their entire academic career and beyond. I am able to tutor in English reading and writing for all grade levels, and am also available to assist students in preparation for standardized tests like the MAP, PSAT, and SAT. I am passionate about the written word, and by sharing this with students, I hope to make increasing my students' English proficiency a fun and enjoyable process! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, baking, and spending time outside.
