For some people tutoring is just a hobby, but for me it's an extension of my career. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri, St. Louis with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and I love teaching children of all age groups. I believe very strongly that each child should have a chance to learn and grow, and that they do this best when there is a helping hand ready to guide them.My experience, outside of my coursework, is based in my student teaching experience and the many techniques I was able to put into practice. I have worked with young students in one-to-one scenarios, small group situations, and classroom settings. In terms of subject areas, I am experienced in teaching Math, Algebra, Phonics, Reading, and Writing. The best method, I think, is to make learning fun and personable. By caring about my students and giving them attention, I am able to create experiences that yield excellent opportunities to gain knowledge and mastery.In my free time, I like reading, spending time with my family, getting crafty, playing golf, or hanging out with my friends.
