Experience
I have been a mentor, teacher and tutor throughout my college years, teaching Biology, Chemistry and Organic Chemistry to students at Brown University. While pursuing my graduate courses at MIT, I was an assistant teacher in Immunology and Genetics. I am currently doing research as a microbiologist at Washington University studying malaria. Throughout my college career, I have used everything I have learned almost daily, and I would like to share what I have learned as a researcher and a teacher. As a tutor, I try to teach my students the concepts they need to fully comprehend the courses being studied. Once a student fully understands the concepts, they seem to get better grades on their examinations without having to depend on memorizing the material. I have experience in many areas including Chemistry, Biology, Anatomy, Microbiology, and Physiology, as well as in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry and Trigonometry, and would be able to assist you in any of these subjects. In my free time I enjoy biking, board games and trivia contests.
