Education

I am currently working on my doctorate in English at Saint Louis University. I have a M.A. in English with an emphasis in Composition from the University of Missouri - St. Louis (where I also received my B.A.). I also have a B.S. in Nursing from Saint Louis University.

Experience

I have taught several university-level composition and literature courses, including First-year Composition, Intro to Poetry, Intro to Literary Studies, Intro to Film, and American Fiction. I look forward to helping students at any age level with their writing, literary analysis, and critical thinking skills. Currently, I am a consultant at the Writing Center at Saint Louis University. This is my 6th year working with undergraduate and graduate students on their writing. I enjoy helping students with their writing and communication skills. I have taken several courses on the Theories of Writing, Digital Communication, and the History of Writing Instruction. I believe in student-centered learning, and I work to be a facilitator and a mentor to my students.

Hobbies

I love to read and add to my personal library of literature from a wide range of eras and nationalities. I am especially interested in autobiographies and biographies. I love going to movies and concerts and doing fun things in and around St. Louis. I also love pets and have 3 cats.
