I have previous experience helping young people learn through my work as a teacher. I believe having a good relationship and helping students to feel comfortable and confident in what they learn goes a long way in improving their abilities. I know in order for students to perform at their best, they need to feel a connection with their teacher. I've worked at private and public schools alike, and worked with youth who had disabilities, were considered at-risk, and even those in the process of learning a different language. I hold my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri. I returned there later and earned my master's in Secondary Education.
