Experience

I'm attending St. Louis University on the premed track for my bachelor's degree in investigative and medical sciences. I'm also pursuing health care ethics and biology minors. As a tutor, I worked with students from the middle school level through the high school level, and I've three years of formal teaching experience in a math and reading center. I have a lot of patience, and I illustrate to students why I love the subjects that I teach. I like to help students by relating concepts that we study to things that they know and help them understand why what we're learning is important. I believe this helps students stay engaged and motivated to learn. I like to break down concepts into easier segments and explain those at a pace that works with each individual student. I then help students put this puzzle back together to understand the main concepts. I can tutor subjects like algebra, biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, ACT prep, writing, essays, and related subjects. In my free time, I enjoy football, soccer, tennis, ping-pong, and playing guitar.
