Experience
I attended Washington University in Saint Louis for college and received my bachelor's degree in anthropology and psychology. As someone who loves learning a wide range of subjects, I also had the pleasure of taking classes in literature, philosophy, art history, and biology as well. There's nothing better than using education to uncover the mysteries of life, which is why I enjoy working with students who also want to expand their classroom knowledge. As a tutor, I believe it's important to be friendly and approachable so that students are more likely to participate and enjoy the classroom experience. Not everyone learns the same way, so I like to move away from the traditional educational model and incorporate activities and exercises that allow students to move around and take a more active role in the lesson. To me, learning is more than just memorizing information - it's also about expanding your knowledge of the world and developing important life skills to carry you through life. For this reason, I like to share my own experiences as a student, as well as tips to help students better retain their knowledge or prepare for upcoming tests. When I'm not working as a tutor, I like to spend my time learning how to code, as well as drawing, running, and watching TV.
