Meg R.

Private tutor in St. Louis, MO

Education

Hello! My name is Meg, and I'm a private tutor in the St. Louis, MO area. I graduated from the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, OK in May 2017. I graduated Summa Cum Laude (4.0 GPA) with both a B.S. in Biological Science and a B.A. in French. My coursework included upper-level biology, chemistry, French, and humanities courses as well as a rigorous pre-medical curriculum. If you are interested in working together or would like to talk with me before making a decision, please feel free to reach out! I would be happy to discuss your or your child's particular needs and provide references for you to contact.

Experience

I have 4 years of experience tutoring students ages K-12 and at the college level. I have tutored in a wide variety of disciplines including the sciences (biology, chemistry, biochemistry, physics, life and physical science, etc.), English (essay writing and editing), French (beginning to advanced), the humanities (sociology, psychology, etc.), study and organizational skills, and test prep and strategy (ACT, SAT, MCAT). I take great satisfaction in fully meeting my students' individualized needs and concerns in one-hour or custom-length sessions! Tutoring is not just my job but also a passion of mine. I find tutoring students to be a purposeful way that I can use my gifts to serve others. I absolutely love to see students' eyes light up with understanding as we work through a complex concept or solve a difficult problem. I seek not just to pass along technical skills and knowledge to my students but also to develop their own unique gifts and passions during our sessions. Other Qualifications: - National Merit Scholar - Outstanding standardized test scores (see below) - Successfully applied and accepted to medical schools - Independent research/lab experience (biology and biochemistry) - One scientific publication Standardized Test Scores: MCAT Score (526, 100th percentile) ACT Score (36) SAT Score (2270) AP Exam Scores: French Language and Culture (5) English Literature and Composition (5) Biology (5) United States History (5) Calculus AB (5) Calculus BC (5)
