Private tutor in St. Louis, MO

Education

Associate of Arts in Business and Accounting with an overall GPA of around 3.5. I plan on eventually pursuing a degree in Business or Public Administration at UMSL. I graduated with my AA in 2011 and have been working to save money to complete my degree since.

Experience

One full year working as a volunteer TA in a grade school environment, including math and reading tutoring. I scored a 32 on my ACT as my highest score and a 26 as my lowest. I've taken several education courses, and I spent a year as a semi-regular substitute at the Middle School level -but I am not sure if I want to pursue teaching as a vocation. I enjoy helping people to learn and understand new things in a more personal setting and I feel the best way to make an impact on the future is to teach a someone a new skill today.

Hobbies

I love reading (mostly non-fiction novels) and writing short fiction. I love watching the Cardinals play and I will watch almost any soccer game that I can find. I love music and theater as well. I feel like I can always find something in common with students and by bonding over this, I am better able to help them learn.
