Experience
I love math and think it's the coolest subject out there. Without math, we couldn't understand the sciences or make any sense of the universe. My tutoring experience spans over eight years tutoring all possible levels and areas of math, from elementary math to calculus and discrete mathematics.Students can easily sense how excited I am about mathematics, and this appreciation transfers to my students and motivates them. As a person, I am relaxed and easy to get along with, and never pretentious. I don't act patronizing with my students or degrade them. On the contrary, I accept students the way they are, and strive to accommodate their level of skills and ability. As a result, students find me very approachable as a teacher, and enjoy our lessons. In fact, I have been able to help students improve significantly even when they come to me without any motivation or interest in the subject. I am a member of the American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Association of America. I provided support for and attended the Sixth Conference on Function Spaces at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, in 2010. I attended the University of California, Berkeley, and Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.
