I believe that with proper tools and individualized support, all children can learn. I am a bubbly and very passionate person, which shows through in my teaching style! I have gained a lot of fun experience working in alternative settings, including hands-on environmental learning, the human body, and rockets with Kids Science Labs (science camp for kids ages 3-12). As a student teacher with an independent school called New City, I absorbed many joyful teaching methods catered to students. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Anthropology from Washington University in Saint Louis. I completed my studies certified in grades 1-6 and graduated with honors. Currently, I tutor for Lindbergh school district in Missouri at Long Elementary in all disciplines of literacy (spelling, reading, and writing) and math. I enjoy meeting students of different ages, personalities, and learning levels. Supporting elementary age kids in reading is my primary passion and I enjoy tutoring math, with algebra being the most fun! I focus on empowering kids towards success through making learning enjoyable. In my free time, I love meeting new people, being in nature (especially astronomy and the stars), and on the rare occasion I watch T.V., it's the Game Show or Food network.
