Experience
I am currently attending the University of Missouri- St. Louis where I am majoring in mathematics. I have worked with many organizations and have gained several years of tutoring experience. I have experience tutoring in ACT prep for volunteer organizations. Currently, I am offering my tutoring services in algebra, ACT math, arithmetic, calculus, geometry, SAT math, and trigonometry. Out of all the math subjects I tutor, I would have to admit that algebra is definitely my favorite. I believe algebra is the most important and most used form of mathematics. In order to move on to upper level math, a basic understanding of algebra must be met. Without this subject, it is nearly impossible to accomplish work in geometry, calculus, and many other forms of math. As for my teaching style, I like to teach my students how to teach themselves. In other words, I enjoy allowing my students the freedom of determining their own learning style. When they understand their own learning style, they are then better equipped to identify issues and ways to solve those issues. When I am not tutoring, I can be found with my eyes glued to a good book or exercising while biking around the city.
