I hold a license in Elementary Education-K-6 specializing in child psychology. I believe each student is special therefore each student has his or her own unique learning style. I like to provide a variety of learning methods. If one method does not work, I move on to a different method. I am a big fan of providing rewards and incentives to encourage participation and increase self-esteem. Learning should be exciting, so I will occasionally play learning games to entice students and help them feel relaxed while learning. I believe for students to succeed they need a positive sense of self as well as a safe environment to grow in. I am currently completing my PhD in Organizational Leadership focusing on human development. With this being said I have a great passion for literature and creative writing. I believe every student has his or her own voice and capabilities as a writer and I enjoy working with individuals along this journey helping them discover their natural talents and hidden abilities.
