Experience
I've worked extensively as a tutor and teacher throughout my professional and academic career. I worked as an assistant teacher while I was enrolled at Washington University, and I helped students with Biology and Organic Chemistry. I have a wide expertise in Science as a result of my own studies. I can work with students to excel in a number of subjects therein, including Chemistry, Physics, Physiology, and Biology. I also can help students prepare for graduate exams, including the MCAT (Social and Behavioral Sciences, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Verbal Reasoning). I also have a lot of mathematical expertise and can work with students in Algebra, Arithmetic, and Geometry. I find it important to focus on an interdisciplinary teaching approach and to bridge connections between many different subjects. I find that students can be more receptive when complicated material can be connected back to everyday life and personal experiences. I work to make math and science relevant to people. It's rewarding for me to be able to find practical applications and pass them along to others. Outside of teaching, I love to cook, bike, play badminton, and fence. I currently live in St. Louis, Missouri.
